Over the past few months I have been blessed with travelling and many reasons for celebration. So many new experiences, places, cultures and learning opportunities to be immersed in. I've been documenting them in daily journal notes, iPhone pictures, and dozens of folders of photos when I've made the effort to bring my SLR with me. But, alas, documentation and sharing don't emerge simultaneously. With instantaneous aspects of social media, 'gramming and what not, it would seem easy to get everything down. However, when one is in the middle of a Thai massage, the world of online sharing seems like a world away. It's been wonderful being totally focused on enjoying the moment (something which I struggled with for a while, often only experiencing things behind the lens). But just as there is time to put the camera away, there is also a time to bring it out. The joy of sharing. A moment captured is a moment preserved; crystalised and frozen in motion. It can be revisited, re-lived and can be a source of remembrance and visual note-taking. But what is an idea, a note, if not shared? Of course I don't want to burden you with all my life stories; we may have never even met. But after an elongated blog-cation, there are a few instances that would be nice to share with you. Apologies as they are not in exact order, but then again what is life if not a myriad of unexpected encounters?
