Ode to Warmer Weather

As the rain pours outside,
determined to hit the ground with all it's might,
we reminisce about sunnier times,
when the sun was in our sight

I wish we got more slurpees,
and wore shorter skirts,
and saw less of the indoors,
and more of short sleeved shirts

But until then, we'll groove to Rusted Roots,
and wear lots of jumpers to fight our chilling fate,
and to you dear Harriet,
