Ocean of Sleep: a (silly) poem by Vanessa

There's this thing I knew,
So ever long ago,
And that thing 'twas of sublime beauty:
Sleep

And ever did I marvel,
At its nature:
So oceanic deep

But then an electronic device,
Of Satan's doing I am sure,
Pulled the drain on my siesta,
And now I'm exposed:
Washed up on shore

And dear friend,
I'm sure you empathise,
For this is closer to a human condition and universal rant,
Than a beautifully crafted philosophy of harmonious Gregorian chant:
I AM TIRED!!!
